LOCTITE® 603 Bush & Bearing Retaining Compound
Special joining product with very high gap filling capacity and fast hand strength. For bonding parts used in gearboxes, on pulleys or similar applications.
Used for bonding cylindrical joining parts especially in such cases where clean surfaces cannot always be guaranteed. The product cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents independent loosening and leaks caused by shock and vibration. Typical applications include the mounting of roller bearings or oil impregnated bushings in bearing housings.
As parts of motors, gearboxes, pumps and compressors, shaft-hub connections are part of our daily lives. These cylindrical connections are used to transfer torsional forces from shafts to hubs. They can also transmit axial loads, shear forces and bending moments. In the various connections for joining shafts, pins and axles to hubs, e.g. in gearboxes, gearshift levers, bushings and bearings, a distinction is generally made between four types of connection.
