Since its introduction a few years ago, the iconic ‘Jet’ helmet from Piaggio has become as much a design icon as Vespa itself. Although its produced in a variety of colours, each specially chosen to coordinate with the current Vespa range, it’s often the special schemes which stael the limelight. Many of these have gone on to be collector’s items in their own right and we’re proud to announce the arrival of this year’s special 80th anniversary scheme.
Made from ABS and certified to ECE 22.06 safety standards, the 80th anniversary jet helmet is finished in he same colour as the 80th anniversary Primavera and GTS machines. As with all Vespa jet helmets, the transparent main visor has an anti-scratch treatment and there’s an internal sun visor. The helmet is fastened using a micro-metric retention system with an anti-theft ring. The new ventilation system helps to dissipate heat quickly, accelerating the wicking of sweat, which keeps the internal fabric cool and comfortable over a long period. Adding to the helmet’s ease of use are washable and removable cheek pads and Inner lining whilst externally the aluminium visor brackets have a satin finish.
As with all special edition helmets, the anniversary scheme will be available in limited quantities.
